Job description

One of the leading medical manufacturing companies has an immediate need for a CNC Operator in the Mahwah, NJ area. This position has full operational responsibility of the equipment covering milling and additive manufacturing and procedures, tools, materials and product exchange, regular machine qualification as well as cleaning and first level maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures for products and machines.
• Observe machine operation to verify accuracy of machine settings and to detect malfunctions.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines.
• Inspect work pieces throughout the production run and perform visual in-process QC.
• Install and adjust milling tools, perform regular calibration of the machines and change operation to different products according to defined Standard Operation Procedures.
• Utilize different measuring tools and interpret blueprints.
• Work in conjunction with other manufacturing departments such as CAM, manufacturing engineers, Group Managers and Team Leads on solving problems in production as well as continuous improvement of workflow and procedures.
• Performs end product final inspection and releases conforming product to the shipping department for distribution to customers.
• Maintains safety policies and procedures, including 5S initiatives and housekeeping

Desire Qualifications:

• GED, High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Certificate courses on CNC-Programming and/or CAD/CAM a plus.
• At least 1 year of machining experience on CNC machines.
• Able to use computers.
• Must be fluent in English.
• Must be willing to work overtime depending on business demands.
• Must be able to stand, walk and bend for 8 hours during work time
