A Keene area manufacturer is in need of a long term permanent CNC Machine Operator to join their full time, first shift team with a starting wage of $17 - $19/hour.

In this role you will perform a variety of machine operations utilizing vertical numerical control machining centers to cut, shape, or form metal work pieces to meet customer specifications.

Job Duties:

• Interpret drawings, program sheets, instructions, and process sheets to determine work to be performed
• Perform diversified operations on numerical control machining centers
• Perform a variety of milling, drilling, boring, or other related operations to close and interrelated tolerances
• Review setup sheets and specifications to determine machining sequence and dimensions of finished workpiece
• Attach fixtures to machine bed and position and secure workpiece in fixture according to setup instructions
• Select and install cutting tools in machine spindle or magazine
• Enter commands to retrieve preprogrammed machine instructions from database
• Manipulate controls and enter commands to index cutting tool to specified set point and to start machine
• Observe and listen to machine operations to detect malfunctions, such as worn or damaged cutting tools
• Change cutting tools and location of workpiece during machining process as specified in setup instructions
• Perform a variety of inspection and gaging operations to insure maintenance of quality standard and specifications
• Measure workpeice for conformance to specifications, notify supervisor of any discrepancies
• Utilizes override control to correct conditions that are out of tolerance or operating unusually
• Adjust machine feed and speed and change cutters to machine parts according to specifications when automatic programming is faulty or machine malfunctions occur

Requirements:

• Steel toe shoes
• HS Diploma or GED
• Able to read and comprehend written instructions
• Able to apply basic math skills
• Minimum of 1 year experience in manufacturing and/or CNC Machine Operations
• Knowledge of CNC Controllers
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Excellent verbal communications
• Able to work well with others in a team based environment
• Exhibits sound and accurate judgment
• Is self motivated and persistent to overcome obstacles
• Excellent time management skills
• Quality focused

Hours: Monday - Thursday 5am - 3pm
