Position: Cocktail Server
Reports To: Assistant Director of Food and Beverage Operations; F&B Managers
Position Overview: Serve beverage and food items to customers in a friendly, enthusiastic, professional, and timely manner.
These duties may be described as, but not limited to:
- Take orders for and serve all beverage requests, using suggestive selling techniques. Clear tables during service. Control guest checks and secure proper payment.
- Ensure station and table set-ups are complete and perform various side duties as assigned by the Restaurant Supervisor.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the bar area through disposing of all waste, clearing, and cleaning all glassware, and wiping down bar and preparation areas.
- Participate in the serving of food
- Participate in maintaining the cleanliness of the serving area.
- Restock fruit and supplies needed for server use.
- Wash all snack bowls and ashtrays and clean coffee machine at the end of the night.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems; however, must be able to work in extreme temperatures like freezers (-10º F) and kitchens (+110º F), possibly for one hour or more.
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length.
- Must be able to lift trays of beverages or food items weighing up to 30 pounds on a regular and continuing basis.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school or equivalent education required.
- One year of high-volume beverage service required.
- Customer service experience required.
- Must be minimum age to serve alcohol.
- All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per The Pridwin standards.
