• Performs all duties as noted as Collections Specialist I regarding working on patient accounts, contacting insurance payers and noting follow up in accounts.
• Provides accounts receivable review and clean-up of new hospitals migrating into the Shared Services Center – Nashville.
• Coordinates projects and ensures completion.

• Functions as the point person for staff in assigned area to provide basic guidance and training

• Provide initial on-the-job training to new staff and remedial training to existing staff

• Responsible for accounts receivable reporting and analysis

Required Education:
Diploma or Equivalent

Required Experience:
Minimum three (3) years collections experience in an Insurance Collector role or equivalent experience in a medical facility, ambulatory surgery facility, or acute-care hospital; Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9 and medical terminology

Computer Skills Required:
Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Tools or similar Google Platforms; experience with hospital or similar patients accounting systems
