COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER

Manages production of projects with the ultimate goal of making a profit and creating a satisfied
customer base. This position is in our Commercial Construction Division.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The project manager certainly plays a technical watchdog role in guarding the company
against poor construction, he or she is most importantly a manager of people. Project managers
need excellent sales, negotiating, and educational skills to work with clients on a day-to-day
basis. To succeed in helping production personnel progress through their companies, they must
be coaches, trainers, and motivators. They also must be able to convey the field worker’s
viewpoint – positive or negative – to the owner.
He or she coordinates all activities related to the actual remodeling and renovation of jobs sold
by the sales department, and takes a job from inception to final completion. The project
department coordinates all the labor, materials, and subcontractors. This responsibility includes
maintaining customer satisfaction throughout the job.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position working 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. This position
may require longer hours and some flexibility in hours may be needed dependent upon the
business needs.

Travel:

Commercial projects are from St Louis to Southern Indiana to Central Illinois

Travel varies by week from 10% to 50% overnights

Salary:

$60,000 - $100,000
