Mid Valley Disposal is currently seeking applicants for our dynamic Operations Team. Are you a truck driver looking for a position with a consistent schedule and where you can be home each evening with family? In this role you will help Mid Valley Disposal by supporting our Operations Team and will be responsible for the daily collection of solid waste & recyclables on a specified route ensuring compliance with all company policies providing safe, efficient day-to-day operations and customer satisfaction.

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WOULD BE EXPECTED TO:

• Ensuring a safe work environment.
• Safely operate a commercial vehicle
• Communicating effectively via radio with supervisors, dispatch, and other drivers while in the field
• Drive a garbage truck safely on specified routes to collect solid waste mechanically and manually
• Transport solid waste to appropriate disposal sites
• Comply with all DOT requirements and corporate safety standards
• Assisting with other departments as it relates to special projects including but not limited to, cleanups, parades, and other community events
• Responding to customer complaints and courteously serve and interact with customers
• Working until the job is completed each day and perform overtime as needed to fulfill daily assignments.
• Working as part of a team.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

Minimum Knowledge and Skills Required

• Operating a Class A or Class B vehicle
• Air brake endorsement
• Email
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver License with a satisfactory driving record
• 1-year paid experience with Commercial Driver’s License

Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required. This is a full-time position with a benefits package. Salary/Hourly rate will be determined based on experience and training of the candidate. Schedule will be Monday through Friday occasionally Saturday.
