Agency Network of KY, Inc., a master agency of SIAA, is seeking a professional and hardworking full-time Commercial Lines Placement Specialist to act as the main service provider for our network of independent agency members.

The qualified candidate will work closely with our member agency contacts to place new business on their behalf through our insurance carrier partners. The placement specialist does not engage in direct sales or service with the insured; however, they are expected to exemplify best practices from quote to issue when working with our members.

The ideal candidate requires a high level of prioritization and organizational skills as well as exceptional interpersonal skills. Applicants should be comfortable in a high-paced environment and proficient with a broad range of applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review new business applications as sent in by ISM agency members.

• Identify and proactively contact responsible member to obtain any missing information and/or receive clarification on any information needed to quote the account

• Update Agency Management System and Shared B Drive with appropriate information throughout the life cycle of the quote

• Market account and generate new business quotes

• Forward quotes as finalized to the submitting member for their review

• In the event standard markets are not available, seek and provide complete information to the member for alternative coverage options

• Review binding applications for appropriate information and forms Issue policies through insurance carrier websites upon receipt of all required documents from the member, and verifies all items are complete

• Actively engage and mentor new members with respect to the completion of applications, insurance products available in the marketplace and insurance companies that can provide said insurance products

• Meet and/or exceed all assigned submission and premium goals on an annual basis

• Meet and/or exceed all required time standards on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis

• Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to assess and meet information needs

• Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously

• Work collaboratively with others (internally and externally) to achieve common objects, goals and results

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or the recognized equivalent

• Active P&C Insurance License

• 2-5 years of P&C insurance experience

• Experience with agency management software

• Proficient with additional applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel
