We are currently looking to recruit a Litigation solicitor with 1-3 years PQE, to join the Intellectual Property team in our Dublin office.

Key characteristics of the Litigation Solicitor we are looking for

• Technically excellent and with previous commercial litigation experience.
• Previous Intellectual Property experience (particularly in patent litigation) valued but not essential.
• Ideally have spent majority of time in private practice working in Commercial Litigation/Intellectual Property. In-house experience, or experience in another jurisdiction in these specific areas also valued.
• Enthusiastic and a team player.
• Self-starter, practical, and with an eye for detail.
• Commercially aware and enthusiastic about business development.
• Strong academic background, excellent communication, and organisational skills.
• Genuine interest in developing a career in Intellectual Property Litigation.

Candidate & Role Summary

This represents an exciting opportunity and we are looking for the right individual. Our rapidly expanding Intellectual Property Litigation team at Pinsent Masons (Ireland) has become a market leader in patent disputes since its inception in 2018. We have worked on many of the high-profile life sciences patent disputes to have come before the Commercial Court in recent years, as well as tech patent cases, award winning trade mark litigation, and disputes involving breaches of confidential information.

Our Dublin team offers a supportive and collaborative working environment, where all team members are valued and encouraged to reach their full potential. We work with clients across a broad spectrum of industries, including life sciences, technology products and services, financial services, and energy. We regularly work closely with our colleagues across the PM global network, including in London, across the UK, in France, Germany, Spain and the Netherlands in relation to cross border strategic patent litigation.

The role will include working directly with the Partners, and senior team members on the following:

• Acting in a wide range of Intellectual Property disputes (patents, trade marks, copyright & design) as well as trade secrets/confidential information and data and cyber disputes.
• Acting in general Commercial Litigation matters including regulatory disputes and financial services litigation.
• Developing ongoing relationships with an existing client base as well as involvement in identifying and pitching for new opportunities.
• Developing close working relationships within the Dublin practice and our colleagues in the wider PM team.
• Work on creating marketing material, pitches, client meetings, know-how and business development
