Our Commercial Lending team is looking for a Commercial Loan Servicing Specialist to assist in the day to day activities of our active commercial and SBA loan members. Daily responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, review and research loan issues, assist with member requests, book all SBA and Commercial loans to our system, perform QC on all new booked loans and follow up on post-closing items.

This position is located in Bridgewater, NJ and will require on site work, 5 days per week, during the first 90 days of employment. After this, you will qualify for our 4 day work week and hybrid options working 3 days in the office, 1 day remotely and 1 day off per week!

Some of your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain and manage assigned commercial and SBA loan portfolio with respect to all servicing requests from within the portfolio. Assist with preparation of loan renewals, modifications and annual renewals.
• Maintain accurate knowledge of Credit Union MBL credit, practices and regulatory policies to assure loan servicing compliance.
• Prepare monthly department reports as required, including all SBA regulatory reporting.
• Assist the Loan Closer with keeping loans on track to close in a timely fashion.
• Responsible for the booking of SBA and Commercial loans to the CORE
• Responsible for creating credit and collateral files for new loans
• Complete post-closing searches for SBA loans
• Assist the Portfolio Specialist with tracking of recordables and post-closing items
• Process all updates to the CORE as a result of modifications and renewals.
• Perform QC on closed loans to ensure all documents have been received and the loans have been booked to the Core system correctly
• Carry out servicing aspects with regard to participated loan portfolio, including payment disbursement.

We ask that you:

• Bachelors Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 3 year’s experience in a Financial Institution Commercial Lending department dealing with servicing or loans
• Familiarity with commercial and SBA loan terminology and practices
• Have excellent communication skills
• Have the ability to work independently
• Have strong time management and attention to detail skills
