Your Title: CTCT Common Services Group Product Manager

What You Will Do

• Discover, organize and translate market opportunities and requirements into product development artifacts for our engineering team, enabling our developers to design and deliver timely solutions for our customers

• Guide and mold the product vision by utilizing your proven ability to prioritize and execute initiatives to enable product teams to better solve problems for our customers

• Define and prove out a framework that ties together a reference architecture and the subcomponents in a way that allows flexibility in go to market

• Establish commonality and communities of practice for commissioning, cybersecurity, supportability, simulation, analytics, safety enablement, and regulatory compliance

• Understand the CTCT grade control platform, the Trimble and Caterpillar platform and application environments, and the cross-functional teams that need to come together to deliver what is needed to differentiate Caterpillar and Trimble in the market

• Lead multiple teams and projects, drive initiatives, and ensure CTCT’s growing portfolio of products enables our parents businesses and their channel partners to be as successful as possible

• Find purpose in solving the most nuanced machine control challenges to unlock greater performance and productivity for our construction industry customers

• Collaborate to identify the UX requirements for the platform and the CTCT developer program

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

• Developing strong relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional CTCT Core Platform teams and parent company development teams

• Lead product teams to build and execute the product vision and strategy, utilizing key data and market insights

• Prioritize the enablement of new business models and commercial activities such as pricing, marketing, and monitor the directly resulting success and growth of the parent’s businesses

• Communicate the product vision and strategy to stakeholders, both internally and externally

• Guide the adoption of OKR alignment and use of a dashboard to track and measure success

• Foster a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation across the entire product lifecycle in partnership with engineering and user experience leaders

• Mentor junior members of the product team and coach the product team to achieve stretch goals and committed deliverables

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Present product updates and strategies to large groups and stakeholders

• Stay current with industry trends and market insights to inform product strategy

• Strong background in software development, platform development, user experience and/or product management

This role could be worked hybrid, meaning once you’re up to speed, you may be able to work from home for up to two days a week.

Our division develops machine control products that use site design information combined with positioning technology to semi-automatically control machines. These products are used in a range of applications to enable a machine operator to perform their work safely, accurately, efficiently, sustainably and effectively through the use of sophisticated yet intuitive user-centric technology.
