NPower creates pathways to economic prosperity by launching digital careers for military veterans and young adults from underserved communities. NPower is looking for an enthusiastic Vista Community Outreach Specialist that will be responsible for engaging young adults and veterans for the Tech Fundamentals Training programs as well as managing day-to-day administrative tasks. Vista Community Outreach Specialist work closely with trainees, their team, and community partners to ensure a positive admissions process and the trainees’ success in program. Our Vista Community Outreach Specialist will build an alumni volunteer ambassador program designed to maintain established community partnerships and engage potential applicants through info sessions and brand awareness campaign and events. The AmeriCorps VISTA members will work directly with our recruitment and admissions team and report to the Program Director with a focus on developing community relationships to help build a sustainable recruitment pipeline of unemployed or underemployed young adults into our program, with intentional outreach to African America/Black and Latinx communities, as well as women of color.



Member Duties : •Drive year-round trainee recruitment efforts nationwide •Develop relationships with young adult and veteran workforce development agencies and community-based organizations •Host informational sessions and attend tabling and networking events to generate applicants •Screen, schedule, and interview candidates for the Tech Fundamentals programs •Meet with regional NPower offices to coordinate recruiting efforts •Input and update trainee data in Salesforce, SharePoint, and/or Dropbox (i.e., attendance, notes, documents, contact information)
