Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Director, HR Operations or designee, the Compensation Analyst will administer compensation strategy to support and sustain a high performing culture that attracts, retains and rewards talent.

Core Job Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze internal and external salary and wage data. Audit data to ensure accuracy
  • Benchmark jobs against survey data and other market intelligence
  • Evaluate resumes and recommend salaries for new hires, internal promotions, reclassifications, and other employee actions
  • Coordinate compensation deliverables ensuring proper tracking and disposition within the organization
  • Research job requirements and evaluate job positions internally and externally to ensure organizational equity
  • Ensure compensation data is accurate across all Human Resource systems
  • Prepare and present reports of job and compensation information
  • Maintain organization wide job description library. Provide appropriate job descriptions and if none currently exist provide the department the tools for drafting a new position description.
  • Liaison with departments and respond to questions regarding compensation guidelines, processes, and procedures
  • Draft increases for represented and non-represented employees based on the compensation practices governing their employment
  • Gather data, analyze problems, evaluate alternatives, and make appropriate recommendations for compensation projects
  • Meet all federal, state and local regulatory compliance requirements
  • Perform other duties as required.

Education/Experience Requirements

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations as they apply to compensation programs, organizational policies, and operations
  • Knowledge of all federal, state and local regulations and compliance requirements related to employee compensation
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data.
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including Excel
  • Strong team management skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to plan and set priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
