The Arc of Chemung Schuyler is seeking a Corporate Compliance Specialist.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Works to strengthen the compliance and quality of supports provided by the agency. This position monitors processes and procedures to ensure the agency complies with all legal regulations and ethical standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree with 1 year experience in related field or Associate degree with 3 years’ experience in related field. Previous corporate compliance or regulatory interpretation experience preferred.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain up to date knowledge on all corporate compliance regulations as they relate to the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), Office of Medicaid Inspector General (OMIG), and other regulatory agencies that govern the work of The Arc of Chemung-Schuyler.
• Ensures agency’s Corporate Compliance Plan is updated and implemented appropriately.
• Ensures agency’s Corporate Compliance procedures are updated and maintained.
• Conduct Corporate Compliance audits of all programs and ensure adequate management response.
• Regularly audit Agency procedures, practices, and documents to identify possible weaknesses or risks.
• Provides technical assistance to Agency programs to ensure proactive compliance with Agency and regulatory requirements.
• Maintains minutes for Corporate Compliance Committee and distributes to committee members in a timely manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Quality Enhancement Director

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Must be able to tolerate the stresses associated with multiple, simultaneous demands
2. Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk and frequently required to use hands and fingers
3. Safely operate a motor vehicle and be able to obtain a license
4. Lifting: May occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
