As the Compliance Officer, Training and Compliance Management System, you will be responsible for the Compliance and Risk training program and for coordinating Varo’s Compliance Management system.
We’re looking for someone who has a growth mindset, is a self-starter, and enjoys a fast-paced working environment. This person will have a passion for training and strong process management skills. This is a great opportunity to join the compliance team at the first all-digital bank to receive a national banking charter.
What you’ll be doing
- Own the Risk & Compliance training program, including performing a training needs assessment and establishing a training curriculum
- Integrate vendor content, as appropriate into the curriculum, or develop custom content
- Work with our Training and People Team to track and report on training completion and milestones
- Promote Compliance Department staff development, which includes publicizing upcoming webinars, reporting external training hours, and facilitating and providing quarterly reporting on staff development hours
- Coordinate management of Varo’s Compliance Management System
- Manage the Compliance Risk Assessment Process
- Manage Compliance Working Group calendar, coordinate meeting presentation deck; ensure action items are identified and followed
You’ll bring the following required skills and experiences
- Passion for training
- Experience in developing and deploying online course work
- Working knowledge of a bank Compliance Management System
- Ability to communicate positively with members of various internal teams and regulators
- Strong sense of ownership and thought-leadership
- Banking/regulatory compliance background
- Excellent writing skills and experience with the Google Suite tool set preferred
- Ability to work in a changing and fast-paced environment
