Overview:
Under the general direction of the Contract Department at ForHealth Consulting, the Compliance Specialist is responsible for supporting operations related to the public procurement process, contract and compliance work as well as document collection and management, and assisting with drafting documents, conducting research, monitoring procedural changes, and providing technical assistance.

Responsibilities:
Assists with the drafting, editing and managing of large documents, including policies, procedures, templates and procurement documents.
Assists with management of the public procurement process.
Collects and maintains official documents required for submission of proposals.
Researches and maintains required documents for standard procurement postings.
Provides guidance to program personnel regarding document requirements for submission of bids.
Provides guidance to program personnel regarding requirements of compliance documentation.
Research and monitors procurement compliance rules.
Assists with the collection, tracking, and maintenance of compliance-related documents.
Assists with public records requests.
Assists with developing, editing compliance educational materials.
Trains program personnel on the University’s procurement process.
Drafts and revises internal policies and procedures as directed.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE
3 years of experience in writing technical documentation and/or manuals, research, procurement or contract compliance.
Possesses high level communication skills, both oral and written; explain alternatives and recommend solutions towards a course of action related to complex problems.
Strong analytical skills.
Ability to locate and understand procurement and compliance rules – internal within the organization and external.
Advanced computer skills, including facility with the internet and online research, MS Office, database entry and information retrieval.
Demonstrated ability to act with discretion and judgment and to maintain confidentiality.
Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills

PREFERRED WORK EXPERIENCE
Paralegal certificate; background in Paralegal studies; or prior experience performing contract review or other legal assistant work.
Experience working for a federal, state, or local governmental entity.
