Computer Science Grant Project Manager (Temporary, Grant Funded)
Position reports to Dean of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics
FLSA Status: Exempt

  • This is a temporary grant paid position and is contingent upon grant funding. The expected end date for this grant is August 31, 2025 (with possible extension).

BASIC PURPOSE:
The Computer Science Grant Project Manager is a U.S. Department of Defense grant funded position. The manager will work with the project Co-Principal Investigator to plan, coordinate and monitor the implementation of the grant activities. The grant manager will oversee the overall day-to-day activities of the project, including the planning of grant activities and events, management of the grant budget, overseeing expenditures and grant expenses, compiling data and writing grant reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in the development of grant activities
  • Engage with local industry partners and arrange conferences
  • Compile data and assist in report writing
  • Engage with computer science faculty and organize professional development activities
  • Manage grant budget and expenditures
  • Adhere to professional and ethical standards of conduct
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related discipline required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Three years of experience in computer science or related field preferred.
  • Experience managing grant funded projects preferred.
  • Demonstrated computer skills and knowledge of software as related to position requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team-oriented setting.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multitask.
