Dewberry is currently seeking a combination Drilled Shaft Inspector/Technician to work construction projects in the Northern & Central Virgina areas. The successful candidate will possess the ability to perform inspection of Drilled Shaft construction and the placement and testing of concrete.

Dewberry is currently seeking a combination Drilled Shaft Inspector/Technician to work construction projects in the Northern & Central Virgina areas. The successful candidate will possess the ability to perform inspection of Drilled Shaft construction and the placement and testing of concrete.

- Have experience in Drilled Shaft construction: excavation, reinforcing steel, anchor bolts, casing, formwork, grounding, concrete placement, crilling & concrete placement equipment, material classification/comparison against boring logs.
- Be able to read and understand plans and specifications.
- Be able to document inspection observations and testing results.
- Possess ACI Grade I certification for concrete field testing; slump, air content, temparature, casting & storage of test cylinders, concrete placement, concrete curing.
- Possess certification for use of a nuclear density gauge.
- Monitor placement and check compaction of fill material.
- High school diploma or GED required, some college (related degree) preferred.
- Minimum 1-3 years experience with inspection and materials testing of drilled shafts.
- Working skill in operating computer equipment, software programs and field inspection equipment.
- Ability to drive assigned and/or personal vehicles within roadways and project sites to perform construction inspection activities
