Construction Manager
Job description
Duties and responsibilities
- Choose the types of tools to use in construction and track the inventory of those tools.
- Reviewing the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
- Keep daily employee logs and monitor the conduct of each one of them.
- Interview and select subcontrators, negotiate the bids and make sure covers work of scope.
- Coordinate with the subcontractor for work progress.
- Ensure the project material delivery and safety.
- Conduct city inspection.
- Ensure that the construction project complies with all safety and building regulations.
- Conduct an in-depth analysis of the project to come up with the budget and deliverables.
- Establish risk factors, then manage and mitigate them to ensure the construction goes on smoothly.
- Work closely with architects and engineers to establish the requirements for the construction.
- Liaise with local authorities to obtain licenses and permits for the project.
- Prepare reports on the project.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of previous experience in the construction industry, with at least 3 years of both commercial construction and management experience
- Associate's degree in construction or equivalent
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred
- Understanding of construction equipment including safe operating practices and signs of maintenance issues
- Understanding of local, state and federal construction regulations
- Able to read and comprehend floor plans, equipment manuals, schematics and complex instructions
- Organizational skills, including time management, delegation, prioritization, and multitasking
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Project)
- Knowledge of construction budgeting best practices
- Must be able to work in normal office conditions, construction, and field environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal and supervisory skills
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $112,929.00 - $124,025.00 per year
