Job description

A growing multi-family real estate developer / general contractor is seeking a qualified candidate for Construction Project Manager. This is a new position to assist the Construction Department because of significant recent growth. This is a busy work environment with several projects being supervised at the same time.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Solicit subcontractor bids, assist with construction contracts and schedules;

- Assist with project budget preparation and monitoring, control of costs, review and payments of subcontractors’ bills, preparation of monthly reports;

- Review and process of change orders;

- Coordinate revisions to the plans as a result of necessary code changes, design conflicts and owner revisions;

- Respond and assist the construction team in resolving relevant Requests for Information (RFI’s). Participate in distributing RFI’s to appropriate parties or consultants to obtain answers and deliver the approved directive to the team;

A successful candidate will have the following experience and abilities:

- A minimum of 7 years of experience in residential construction and project management;

- A strong financial and contractual background;

- Thorough understanding and ability to read construction documents. Be able to review and provide comments on drawings;

- Have proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Project. Previous experience with Procore is a plus;

- Detail oriented and able to track timelines and budgets;

- Strong written and verbal communication skills and calm professional demeanor;

- Self-starter with ability to prioritize and follow through;

Job includes interaction with internal and external stakeholders – Project Superintendents, Architects, Engineers, Subcontractors, etc.
