Here at Uniphar we are looking for a Consumer Operations Planner, this role will see you work as part of the consumer team being responsible for the operational management of the consumer product portfolio. This is a hybrid position based off our Dublin Citywest HQ office - 12 months period Maternity Leave Cover with a strong potential to become a permanent role.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• 
  Working closely with the operational team to manage goods in and order flow through the warehouse.
• Working closely with the Consumer and Operations team, drive Operational Excellence.
• Manage customer & supplier queries and ensure they are logged and dealt with in a professional, timely manner.
• Responsible for ensuring products are available in a timely manner to meet retailer range windows and promotional timelines
• Implementation of the trading plan activity agreed with the suppliers and responsible for the invoicing of all supplier activity linked to the trading plan.
• Support the Key Accounts Manager grow group sales by ensuring we are offering great service out of Chapelizod and good communication regarding stock availability.
• Manage the goods in schedule, enabling us to achieve 100% products availability.
• Work with suppliers to ensure they understand our delivery requirements and manage non- conforming suppliers.
• Manage our Arcos sales system to ensure accurate product information is always available to our sales team.
• Key point of contact with suppliers for any operational queries.
• Own the pick space plan to ensure efficient picking, taking seasonality into consideration.
• Work with Operations so we understand the shelf-life & manage expiry dates
• We need to have an accurate view of stock at all times, work with the Operations Team to develop a stock counting process.
• Work closely with the Customer Service Team to gain an understanding of any customer issues, and then work cross functionally to build a fix.
• Manage the blocked accounts, chasing shorts on orders / overcharges etc..
• Operate as a team player and positively contribute to achieving growth targets of the business.
• Actively participate and contribute to business development and project initiatives as required.
• Any further duties that may be assigned and deemed to fall within the remit of the role.

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

• Driving license essential.
• Multi-site retail experience delivering commercial results preferable
• Minimum 3 years’ operations experience within the wholesale or pharmacy & retail sectors
• High motivated & driven
• An understanding of the key commercial drivers
• A self-starter & ability to work on own initiative
• Knowledge of applying category management principles.
• Strong communication & presentation skills
• Well organised & experience in developing processes to drive efficiencies
• Ability to work effectively under time & delivery pressures

SC&R is Uniphar’s largest division and a leader in the Irish pharmaceutical wholesale, pre-wholesale and retail pharmacy markets. The division runs, owns or supports through symbol groups more than 400 of Ireland’s 1850+ community pharmacies and is primary supplier to another 500. Acquisitions in this division have been primarily of retail pharmacy chains, some of which have been rebranded to the Uniphar symbol groups of Allcare Pharmacy and Life Pharmacy, others which have retained their original branding, eg Hickey’s Pharmacies. Our Irish business continues to grow steadily and we are looking at opportunities to extend our successful Irish model to other markets.
