Your Role
Reporting directly to the Contract Logistics Operations Manager you will have general responsibility for supervising the operations team and overseeing all transport activities concerning your dedicated customer. You will manage projects guided by the customer and identify internal and external cost-saving opportunities to ensure the competitiveness of Kuehne+Nagel. In cooperation with the Business Manager, you will develop new processes to expand Kuehne+Nagel's participation with the customerYour Responsibilities
- You will ensure a high level of productivity and develop strategies to reduce costs and ensure quality compliance following internal and external regulations and agreements.
- Lead and motivate the team members and support their professional development, skills, and experiences by implementing regular performance review meetings.
- You will oversee operational escalations to ensure seamless business continuity, control of overtime, holiday, and sickness days, and control travel expense reports following internal regulations.
- Ensure that all employees passed all required training and that all team members are working following actual instructions and guidelines.
- You will take an active role in the meetings with Business Management, Customers and Kuehne+Nagel 3PL, and others, and support training of new employees, apprentices and trainees, and external partners if required and support internal and external audits in your team.
- Partner with the Business Managers and all other involved departments (Business Support, Quality Management).
Your Skills and Experiences
- 5+ years of management experience in the Transport or Logistics sector.
- 5+ years Solid experiences in Air Logistics transport with a focus on aerospace.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Business-related field required.
