Novus Home Mortgage is seeking an experienced Contract Specialist to join its growing corporate team. The successful candidate must be able to interact with co-workers and clients in a professional, approachable manner, be independent, motivated, and embrace ownership of day-to-day responsibilities.

Please note this is an in-office role based out of our corporate office in Waukesha, WI.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Write, negotiate, and finalize contracts with internal and external parties
• Assist in receiving and processing internal legal requests
• Complete state audits and filing of annual reports
• Review contracts and leases company-wide
• Maintaining spreadsheets pertinent to Legal Department and other legal documents
• Process mortgage licensing company-wide and proficient in navigating NMLS system
• Conduct investigations and statistical/documentary research
• Assist in reviewing compensation, severance, and other employee contracts

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2-3 years experience as a Contract Specialist, Paralegal, and/or Legal Assistant
• Excellent oral, organizational, and writing skills
• Experience in the mortgage or financial services industries- preferred
• Ability to quickly adapt and take on new challenges
• Eagerness to work in the fast-paced mortgage industry
• Ability to deliver effective results and meet deadlines
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with minimal supervision

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate
