The Contract Supervisor for Bulk Shipments will support the US Department of State in managing shipments over 6 cubic feet that are designated as bulk shipments.
- Responsible for notifying overseas customers of their bulk shipment(s).
- Inform the customer of proper bulk shipment payment responsibilities whether official or personal in nature.
- Dispatch bulk shipments once shipping costs have been paid.
- Return bulk shipments to the sender upon the customer’s request or when funding is not provided.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associate degree in business, logistics, or a related field and 5+ years of experience OR
- High school diploma or GED equivalent and 7+ years of experience instead of an associate degree
- Secret clearance required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to communicate effectively and have strong written and verbal communication skills.- Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and have strong interpersonal skills.
- Excel at multi-tasking and have excellent project management, time management, and organization skills.
- Ability to learn new skills and software quickly.
