POSITION SUMMARY
The Controller is responsible for overseeing the company's financial records and account personnel. This position is accountable for maintaining all procedures and controls related to the company's financial accounts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of accountants, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Maintaining a documented system of accounting records, policies, and procedures.
- Implementing a system of controls over accounting transactions to mitigate risk and exposure.
- Working with all departments on budgeted guidelines and reporting on activity to executive management.
- Provide financial analysis on capital investment opportunities and ROIs.
- Report benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s overall financial performance monthly.
- Work with external auditors and provide needed information for annual reviews and audits.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
- At least six years of relevant accounting experience, including a deep understanding of Accrual Accounting principles.
- At least three years of managerial experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Dynamics GP.
- Experience with multiple work locations.
- Experience in the transportation/warehousing industry.
