Bethany at Silver Lake is hiring a full time cook. Can you cook food for many people? Do you love and enjoy cooking food and helping others? Do you want to be part of a great team? If you answered yes, then we want to meet you!This position is full time at 37.5 hours per week. The hours are Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday 5:00AM-1:00PM (Wednesday and Thursday off). Of course, you may be needed occasionally to cover another shift.
In this kitchen we all work well with one another. We help each other to get the job done. We have fun during the day as well. We offer benefits: vacation, sick days, medical, and dental too.
You must be able to stand for long periods of time, deal with the heat of a kitchen, lift 30 pounds, be OK with interruptions, and enjoy working for the elderly. read, write, and understand English, follow recipes, be able to think outside of the box on occasion, be in charge when the CDM is not there which means finding shift coverage if someone calls out, fixing tray tickets if changes are needed, making sure daily duties of staff are done. Other duties include taking food temps for meals, temps for walk-in and freezer plus daily cleaning schedule. Prior experience cooking for the masses is needed. Other duties as assigned.
Pay is $19.00-23.00 per hour, DOE.
