Zachary’s expects its crew members, including Cooks, to be mobile and ready to work through the duration of their shift, with the exception of meal periods and rest periods. We are looking for a Cook to join our kitchen staff and contribute to the overall excellence of our restaurant by preparing high-quality Chicago-style stuffed and thin pizzas. Cook responsibilities include preparing daily food items; executing customers’ orders considering special requests; keeping the work station clean. We are looking for someone who is a team player, has great communication, follows instructions, and has a high attention to detail.

Responsibilities of a Cook:

• Food preparation
• Make pizzas
• Wash dishes
• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
• Set up and break down workstations
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
• Clean designated areas
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations
• All other duties as assigned

Cook Job Requirements:

• Handle physical labor including:

o Lifting up to 25 pounds regularly

o Lifting up to 50 pounds on occasion

o Bending and reaching throughout shift

o Occasionally climb ladders

o Standing for 8+ hours

• Comfort around kitchen equipment including knives and hot ovens

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with CA specific laws. Pay is

based on experience, tenure, and other factors. Position range $19-$27.75. Pay ranges may be different at other Zachary’s locations.

Zachary’s has a one-month probationary period for all new hires. The one-month probationary period is not a term of employment and is not intended, nor does it, impact the at-will nature of the relationship between Zachary’s and the employee. During this probationary period, Zachary’s may terminate employment immediately, with or without cause and with or without notice. Likewise, the employee may also terminate his/her/their employment with Zachary’s at any time, with or without notice and with or without cause.
