Position Overview
This candidate will prepare and cook food for large groups of residents and employees including regular and special diets. The Cook I will also direct the work of food service workers as needed and do related work as required. This position will also fill the Cook II position as required for adequate supervision of food service workers.
General Responsibilities
· Ability to work with Manager in charge and other food service workers
· Ability to follow standardized recipes and to control service portions
· Ability to exercise judgment and initiative in preparing food, delegating duties and assisting in maintaining efficient standards of operations
Qualification:
· Experience in domestic food preparation
· Safe Food Handling certification
· Must be able to read and write English
· High School Diploma or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $24.83 per hour
