Community Bridges is currently seeking a Cook at our Avondale and Mesa location
Responsibilities:
- Ensures the assigned facility is maintained in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Arizona Division of Occupational Safety and Health (ADOSH), The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Arizona Administrative Code (AAC), Arizona Department of Health Services/Department of Behavioral Health Licensure (ADHS/OBHL), the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and Community Bridges Policies and Procedures.
- Deep cleans kitchen appliances, including griddle, stove, oven, refrigerators, freezers, sinks, pantry storage
- Dates and labels all items being received from food shipment to comply with Health Department
- Utilize creative thinking skills to create meals with products that may be expiring soon or create meals with donations given, all while being cost effective and compliant with food regulations.
- Coordinates menus with Assistant Housekeeping and Food Services Manager
- Maintains an inventory of food and kitchen supplies in accordance with facility and agency needs, submits orders to Assistant Housekeeping and Food Services Manager on a weekly basis.
- Inventories food services supplies being received at shipment and submits orders to Assistant Housekeeping and Food Services Manager on a weekly basis.
- Cooks food in quantities according to menu and number of persons to be served, ranging from 20-60 plates per meal
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three months related experience and/or training.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a current Arizona Food Handler’s Certification.
