Overview

Under the supervision of the Accounting Manager, the incumbent supports the efforts of the purchasing department through data entry, cost control support, inventory support, spreadsheet creation and maintenance, rebate collection/tracking, file maintenance, and other record keeping functions.

Responsibilities

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Adheres to the Hard Rock’s Policies and Procedures.
  • Maintains current knowledge of food and beverage purchasing policies and procedures, contracts, rebates and vendor confidentiality.
  • Maintains accurate and detailed records of all incoming rebate payments/check for tracking and reporting.
  • Produces velocity reports to be submitted to vendors and/or manufacturers for rebate collection purposes
  • Assists Purchasing Buyers to ensure rebate programs are maintained and updated/adjusted prior to expiration
  • Assist the finance department with the record retention of all financial records generated from the outlets and audit.
  • Enters highly accurate information into the Inventory Purchasing system for the purposes of producing Inventory Variance Reports enabling quantity/cost variances to be researched and corrected.
  • Processes the data entry in SWS of the receiving documents from the daily deliveries and services provided.

Assist purchasing in the price variances with the invoicing from the deliveries.

  • Assist purchasing with the items unit of measure in SWS. (Unit of measure for purchase / inventory U/M)
  • Produces and assists in Food & Beverage theoretical and actual COS for all entities.
  • Exercises high level of analysis, problem solving, decision making and prioritization daily.
  • Oversees multiple high priority projects simultaneously.
  • Maintains procurement records such as goods, items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality and inventories.
  • Always promotes positive public/employee relations.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned

Education And/Or Experience

Associate's degree with a major in Business or Food & Beverage preferred as well as one (1) year of food and beverage purchasing or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

  • Must possess excellent time management skills.
  • Must possess ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from vendors, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.

Language Skills

  • Must possess ability to read and understand all Seminole Tribe of Florida’s policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, vendors and team members.
  • Must possess ability to effectively present information to senior management.
  • Must possess ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic or schedule format.

Mathmatical Skills

  • Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Must possess the ability to work with mathematical concepts and to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

  • Must possess ability to handle standard situations in which specific steps are involved.
  • Must possess ability to exercise independent judgment, possess well-developed problem-solving skills and interpersonal/negotiating skills necessary to communicate with all levels in Food & Beverage.
  • Must possess ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited information exists.

Computer Skills

Has a working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet programs and 10-key adding machines.

  • Must obtain and maintain valid licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
  • Must successfully pass background check.
  • Must successfully pass drug screening.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
