Summary
Oversee daily operation of Halperns’ Steak and Seafood Drivers in respect to Routing, Scheduling, and D.O.T. compliance. Driver Logs, DQF Files, Maintain Truck Records, Pre Shifts
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
-
Generate and coordinate daily/weekly schedules
-
Review time clock logs to ensure proper DOT hours of compliance

Monitor drivers on following company policies and procedures, DQF
-
Ensure drivers follow all D.O.T. regulations
-
Ensure drivers are operating vehicles and working using proper safety procedures
-
Fill in as necessary to ensure routes are covered
-
Oversee and manage handling of product to ensure quality control of the product
-
Handle any transportation issues that arise as directed by upper management
-
Make equipment available for maintenance and shuttle to repair facilities as needed.

Oversee the daily activities of the drivers
-
Daily/Weekly Monitor driver mileage sheets
-
Weekly/Monthly Record miles driven by truck
-
Weekly/Monthly Record Trips
-
Weekly/Monthly Record Fuel Usage
Qualifications
-
Must be detail oriented and possess good organizational skills.
-
Strong leadership skills
-
Strong communication and customer service skills
-
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Education and Experience
-
Class ‘A,B,D Driver’s License
-
At least three years driving/delivery experience
Language Skills
-
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
-
Ability to speak effectively before a group of employees.
Physical Demands
-
Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds
-
Must be able to withstand working in an outdoor environment in extreme heat, cold, or inclement weather for long periods of time
-
Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, and kneel while lifting/carrying heavy weight
-
Must be able to push a handcart loaded with up to 500 pounds, many times for long distances
-
Must be able to navigate loaded handcart on ramps, stairs and through narrow passages
