Organization: Human Resources Division
Work Schedule: 12 months; benefitted
Reports To: Senior Executive Director of Employee Recruitment, Learning, & Retention
Salary Schedule: Salary in accordance with the adopted schedule.
FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary
The Coordinator of Recruitment and Employee Engagement is responsible for leading recruitment and retention strategies designed to find and retain the best talent to meet the diverse needs of the District, while providing quality service to hiring managers and job candidates by developing, executing, and evaluating strategies for sourcing highly qualified candidates to fill the various roles in the District. This position in collaboration with the CHRO and other school system leaders ensures district employees are regularly engaged and informed on matters of systemic importance; recognized and/or reward for significant accomplishment and successes; and provided access and information pertaining to their personal and professional well-being.
Essential Duties
- Utilizes creativity, marketing resources, and current technologies to include Job Boards, Social Media, and Digital Media to develop and implement effective recruitment strategies that meet District goals and source candidates with a diverse range of critical skill sets
- Designs, develops, communicates, implements, and assesses strategic recruitment strategies to ensure a pipeline of highly qualified candidates is being created through targeted efforts including district job fairs, industry career fairs, and partnerships with technical college and university personnel
- Conducts effective research and gathers vacancy and market data to identify available recruitment sources
- Establishes and maintains relationships and networks that will contribute to the District’s overall recruitment and retention mission
- Establishes and monitors human capital metrics to show the overall success of staffing efforts through the full recruiting cycle that builds a talent pipeline and meets the staffing needs of the District
- Provides training to Principals and District leaders on best practices and strategies for recruitment, selection, and retention
- Manages the budgeting, scheduling, and logistics for all District recruitment, employee recognition, and employee wellness efforts/events
- Provides complete, current, accurate, and inspiring information to candidates about the District and available positions
- Collaborates with the District’s Employee Assistant Program provide and ensure employee are informed on the benefits of and how to access the EAP
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, Educational Administration, or closely related field
Preferred Certification/Licensure: Master’s Degree or SHRM certification
Experience: Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible management level experience which includes substantial experience/skills in personnel recruitment and engagement, or organizational management preferably in a public school or public sector environment
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Working Conditions: This position must work on-site, in a standard office environment, and will often come into direct contact with CHCCS staff, students, and the public.
Physical Demands: Routine physical activities associated with a normal office environment with an up to 20lb lifting requirement
Evaluation: Performance will be evaluated in accordance with the provision of the Board policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel
Preferred Certification/Licensure: Master’s Degree or SHRM certification
Experience: Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible management level experience which includes substantial experience/skills in personnel recruitment and engagement, or organizational management preferably in a public school or public sector environment

- Knowledge of strategies and best practices associated with sourcing, recruiting, interviewing, and selection

- Effective oral and written communication skills to be able to effectively communicate with a wide variety of people, personalities, and situations

- Ability to work independently without close supervision
- Ability to complete complex tasks and minimize errors with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively with departmental personnel
- Ability to develop implement, monitor, and evaluate program goals and initiatives
