The Solutions Engineer will report to a Solutions Director or a Regional Solutions Manager. This position is a remote position however may be required to report to the Austin, Tx location as required for business needs as determined by SHI management.

Collaborate with account teams in understanding the maturity levels of customer cloud environments through review and evaluation of Network technologies, consumption, implementations, and processes- Responsible for designing and proposing network solutions that meet customer's business objectives
- Develop and execute strategy for customer network solutions for assigned customers
- Learn and understand company Network services offerings and portfolio by self-study, partner training and company sponsored training.
- Collaborate with multiple layers of contacts within an organization, including but not limited to CIO, CTO, CISO, IT/Security Directors, IT/Security Admin, etc to strengthen our overall customer relationship and better understand the goals and objectives they are trying to achieve
- Collaborate with sales team to drive the solution including making recommendations and aligning next steps for the sale
- Strengthen our technical relationships with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), strategic and emerging partners and key cloud partners to increase knowledge and be considered for beta programs to better serve our customers with best current product information
- Educate and develop sales teams on Network solution selling and key technologies through 1x1 training, team training and company training
- Conduct product training and positioning for the Sales team and customer
- Stay current on new technology, trends and market behavior by studying market trend and the industry landscape
- Maintain vendor accreditations and certifications relevant to the Network Industry
- Self-study and independent work in lab facilities to increase job related knowledge and skills
- Obtain technical certifications as needed for specific projects as dictated by management
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Cisco networking products, including switches, routers, wireless, nexus, and Meraki
- Broad range of technical knowledge as related to the networking space
- Familiarity with Cisco Commerce Workspace (CCW)
- Possessing Cisco and/or other industry certifications (CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, CISSP, etc.)
- Experience creating complex Visio diagrams
- Experience creating and presenting effective presentations
- Experience leading white boarding sessions
- Ability to design network infrastructure including route/switch, LAN, WAN, SDWAN, branch office and software defined networking
- General understanding of network architecture frameworks such as TOGAF
- Ability to work effectively and add value as a team member
- Ability to assume a leadership role when needed
- Ability to understand complex technical and selling situations and the ability to solve the problem or solicit the required resources.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with Cisco network products including routers, switches, network security appliances, network access control, branch office
- Experience with software defined networking technologies including Cisco ACI, SD-WAN, SD-Access and VMware NSX
- Experience with similar products and solutions from other vendors
- Experience with Azure/AWS networking and security solutions
- Travel to client locations required up to 40%
- Extended hours are required to complete some special projects
- The estimated annual pay range for this position is $120,000 - $230,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
