Resumen:
Pioneer Metal Finishing is hiring an seasoned procurement professional responsible for developing and implementing procurement and material management policies (inventory control management and accuracy). Managing vendor relationships with proven year over year cost reduction accomplishments for a multiple-facility business.
Director needs to be a personable, enthusiastic and proven leader. Director will ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization’s purchasing process and develop a centralized procurement team. Will set purchasing guidelines, manage budgets, and oversee the purchasing process.
Responsibilities
- Develop and communicate a procurement business plan; establish, communicate and implement long-term goals for the department in order to promote effectiveness and efficiency.
- Provide year over year cost reduction (direct and indirect material management).
- Source new vendors to ensure supply chain remains competitive.
- Consolidate vendor base to leverage overall spend.
- Develop, communicate and administer procurement team performance and development plans and appraisals.
- Serve as the primary contact for procurement related questions, training, policy and procedure interpretation and alignment by all departments.
- Oversee contract development and administration: RFP’s, RFQ’s, RFI’s, PMF’s vendor LTA/contracts, PMF’s T&C’s. Ensure all are in and stay up to date in compliance with applicable laws, guidelines and competitive contract terms.
- Develop and implement procurement-related training programs for the procurement team and organization.
- Manage current procurement policies, procedures and programs with a focus on their ability to enhance organizational value and efficiency; meet regularly with respective departments regarding procurement for their understanding and/or recommendations to enhance policies, procedures and develop, communicate and implement new/revised policies, procedures and programs as needed.
- Develop a centralized procurement program that adds value and efficiency to the organization.
- Provide sound purchase order policies to minimize invoice discrepancies and maximize AP efficiency.
- Develop, implement and maintain innovative procurement strategies to maximize spending value, reduce risk, and generate savings while resolving supply conflicts and identifying supply operations risks.
- Establish means to monitor vendor/service providers to ensure quality and delivery performance are maintained to fulfill expectations.
- When necessary, coordinate the disposition of obsolete inventory and equipment.
- Oversee / manage / source / coordinate corporate fleet for pickup and delivery of customer parts for multiple facilities.
Education / Experience/ Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field.
- 15 years of proven leadership and accomplishments.
- Private Equity experience a plus.
- Proven sourcing and competitive procurement ability to continually provide a sound supply chain.
- Multiple-facility management and coordination experience.
- A results-oriented leader who understands procurement, supplier collaboration, development, and compliance.
- Solid computer and analytical skills including Microsoft Suite/Office applications.
- Inventory control and material flow experience.
- Proven verbal and written communication, leadership and team building skills.
- Sound understanding of enterprise resource planning with centralized applications.
- Results-oriented, metrics-driven leader with expertise in purchasing, supplier collaboration, development and compliance.
- Fleet and traffic management a plus.
- Metal plating / processing experience a plus.
- Experience with ERP systems, specifically Dynamics 365.
