Job description
Securities Services is a market leader providing innovative custody, fund accounting, and administration to the world's largest institutional investors, alternative asset managers, and debt and equity issuers. J.P. Morgan's Custody and Fund Services business is comprised of Custody, Accounting, Transfer Agency, Middle Office outsourcing, Foreign Exchange, and other activities related to servicing assets for traditional and alternative funds; it leverages its scale and capabilities in more than 100 markets to help clients optimize efficiency, mitigate risk, and enhance revenue through a broad range of collateral management, securities financing, and alternative investment services.
Business Overview:
Business Management optimizes business performance by helping to ignite key initiatives. We act as trusted advisors and counterweight to Business Heads, and are responsible for identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks. The Securities Services business management team partners with the Front Office Product leads and works across a broader matrix structure to influence and deliver results. Key partners include Product Management, Product Development, Product Controllers, P&A, Sales, Sales Business Management, and second line of defense partners.
Job responsibilities
- Provide a high level of responsiveness to executive ad-hoc requests related to project management, presentation development, and business analysis
- Organize complex information in a strategic and compelling way, demonstrating strong design acumen and expertise in Excel and PowerPoint techniques. Create wireframes and mock-ups quickly and iteratively for management presentations, reports, and dashboards
- Develop ad-hoc analytics to help the business better understand and manage costs, risks, capital usage, pricing, and growth opportunities
- Manage liquidity/deposit forecasts within a rapidly changing interest rate environment and tightening liquidity
- Compile and present monthly business reviews, new business tracking, validation, rates committees, and regulatory reviews
- Communicate effectively with key business partners to understand projects and drive next steps
- Lead the development and approvals of new business initiatives (e.g., structured interest rate pricing, digital currencies), understand the risks, and implement controls in partnership with functional partners
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 4+ years relevant experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or other related area
- Prior experience in Business Management or COO role
- Proven experience delivering timely, high quality presentations and/or reporting for various projects and stakeholders. Attention to detail is a must with continuous focus on design excellence
- Demonstrated ability in dealing with different stakeholder groups and driving the agenda
- Excellent communication, organization and project management skills
- Intermediate to advanced level ability expected in all MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Pivot Tables)
