Middleby Corporation has a great opportunity for a Corporate Senior Accountant to join our Team!

The Corporate Senior Accountant will be a key member of the small corporate finance team. The position will report to the Senior Financial Analyst. This position will support the corporate finance team completing the corporate month end close and reporting process and perform a variety of tasks and projects for internal management reporting.

Responsibilities Include:

• Complete corporate ledger month end close.
• Prepare standard and non-recurring journal entries within the areas of Cash, Prepaids, Fixed assets, Intercompany AR, AP & loans, Bank debt and interest & Various accruals.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Perform variance analysis of expenses to budget and prior periods.
• Coordinate corporate AP.
• Prepare annual corporate budget.
• Review, approve and track corporate expenses.
• Administer expense reports process (ChromeRiver): Facilitate use of online reporting tool, Review reports for adherence to policy, Submit reports for processing to payroll & Prepare reports for management on spend.
• Consolidate various schedules for use in department and assist department in ad hoc projects within the quarterly and annual financial statement close process.

Requirements:

• Requires a bachelor's degree (CPA preferred)
• 2-4 years of experience in accounting
• Experience with and strong understanding of US GAAP
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
