Position Purpose:

This position will act as a strategic partner across several business units. The area of focus will be centered around the Controls Business Unit (CBU) as well as all the entities of BWE. This will entail month-end financial closing, cost analysis, fixed asset accountability, plant capital investments, and plant team support.

Essential Functions:

1. Split time supporting the Controls Business Unit, Wheel End and Brake Business Unit & MWI while supporting Finance Management in all aspects of business

2. Perform month-end financial close for the Controls Business Unit as well as MWI. Record manufacturing expenses, depreciation, taxes, and other overhead expenses

3. Provide manufacturing cost and variance analysis for the Controls Business Unit as well as all entities within WBE

4. Understand monthly financial results and key operating metrics, communicating these results to the Management Staff

5. Produce daily, weekly, monthly reports for the Plant Manager and CBU General Manager as well as other reporting for BWE entities as requested

6. Ensure adequate internal controls exist and are utilized at the plant.

7. Identify areas of weakness and assists local management in implementing corrective action

8. Assist local management in identifying and implementing cost reduction opportunities as well as quantifying those cost reductions

9. Support divisional requirements such as internal/external audits

10. Provide financial support for capital development projects from justification to approval to installation

11. Work with Management Team to maintain standard costs, routers, and department burden rates

12. Assist in developing monthly forecasts and annual operating plan including analysis on future spend and working with teams to rationalize future spend for forecast and plan

13. Perform monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts for multiple entities

14. Maintain Fixed Asset System for Controls Business Unit

15. Assist in tracking product margins, cost reductions and new product programs
for all BWE

16. Analyze inventory variances/transactions, plus inventory control cycle count
program

Education and Training:

• BS/BA Degree in Accounting or Finance required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment

Physical Demands:

· Frequent sitting, work at computer for extended periods of time.

Environmental Conditions:

· Office setting.

· Minimal exposure to R&D lab and manufacturing setting.
