DECI Ltd. are currently seeking and experienced Cost Engineer to join our expanding team.
As a key member of our Cost Control Team, you’ll provide the day-to-day support and execution of project controls functions for projects and programs. You will be responsible for cost control monitoring, analysis, forecasting, and reporting. You’ll manage overall projects and program cost controls and reporting function by supporting client management, updates, and presentations to all levels of management.
Role & Responsibilities
- A Project Cost Engineer monitors the financial progress of a project, extracts the operating fixed, variable costs and accrued costs and compare back on a line by line basis to the budgets.
- Prepare financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets.
- Be the custodian of change managing upstream and downstream
- Manage a cost control system in order to support the Project Manager's decision-making process to allow project completion within the approved Budget
- Preparation of Project Status Report preparation
- Ability to manipulate large amounts of data into manageable levels.
- Extract cost data from SAP for inclusion in cost report.
- Extract manhours from internal timesheet system, calculate missing hours and include in cost report.
- Prepare timely hourly/cost reports and ensure accurate coding, distribute for review as required by each project
- Support Project Management Team with monitoring project budgets, cost and Change Management
- Work closely between the Finance & Commercial Team
- Maintain and produce accurate INTERNAL & EXTERNAL client facing cost reporting / monitoring / forecasting for:
- Produce monthly Status Report including items listed above
- Produce project cost control document when project secured
- Raise Subcontracts / Purchase Orders in timely fashion according to project schedule.
- Preparation of monthly valuations, agreement with client and ensuring that monies are received on time.
Requirements
- Strong Excel Skills
- Computer literate with knowledge of Word, Excel PowerPoint and Outlook
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and logical skills
- Strong knowledge in cost reporting including preparation of Cash Flows and Preliminary Reports
- Able to work accurately with figures
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term
Salary: €45,000.00-€60,000.00 per year
