Counselor Tech Supervisor Overview

Under the general direction of the Program Manager and Team Leader, the Counselor Technician Supervisor provides leadership, clinical supervision, and evaluation for assigned staff members. The Counselor Technician Supervisor is responsible for hiring, orientation, and ongoing training for Counselor Technicians. The Counselor Technician Supervisor coordinates the scheduling of our twenty-four (24) hour residential sites to ensure shift coverage; including working scheduled shifts that do not have coverage. The Team Leader participates in evaluating and developing means of enhancing departmental performance as a member of the department leadership team.

SHIFT:

• Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday
• 10am to 9pm

MINNIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or (4) years of relevant experience.

EXPERIENCE:

• At least two (2) years experience in direct service provision in a mental health setting.
• (2) years of management experience preferred

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

• The ability to work with all persons with multiple challenges (mental illness, substance abuse, physical challenges, developmental disabilities, etc.).
• MANDT Certified within 30 days of hire.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work or Counseling
• Additional experience and course work in the mental health/substance use/criminal justice related field is preferred.
• Experience in a mental health or substance use setting and/or with clients who have co-occurring mental health disorders is preferred.
