The Count Room Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the Casino Count/Drop Room. Responsible for maintaining and ensuring integrity and compliance with all internal and external gaming regulations, policies and procedures are adhered to.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages and oversee the drop/count team members and drop/count activities
- Ensure adherence to policy and procedures to provide a strong level of internal control and funds integrity; ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Ensuring protection and security of funds
- Maintain control and awareness of anomalies, changes or problems, reporting any issues immediately
- Train and supervise count/drop team members, ensuring timely performance management and evaluation
- Coordinate with cage manager, surveillance, security and State Gaming Regulators as to route and timing of drop and count activities
- Maintain attendance as per Oaklawn guidelines
- Ensure proper and efficient functioning of count equipment
- Build and maintain positive relationships with other departments
- Ensure safety concerns are identified, addressed and corrected
- Maintain a positive work environment and promote teamwork
- Maintains an attitude & philosophy consistent with the company Core Values and Standards of Behavior with internal & external guests
- Punctual attendance required
- Ability to work required overtime.
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Superior attention to detail
- Strong math, analytical and problem solving skills
- Computer proficiency
- Ability to read and understand complex documents and regulations
- Ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
- Ability to lead by example and prove a strong role model for the team
- Ability to multitask with frequent interruptions and meet strict deadlines
- Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with management
- Ability to swiftly adapt to changes and communicate changes positively with team
- Extensive money handling skills
- High school graduate, college degree preferred
- 1 year supervisory experience
- 5 years money handling experience (i.e. banking, cage etc.)
- Previous gaming experience preferred
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the Count Room staff.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must be able to obtain and maintain an Arkansas Gaming License.
