About Us: Meeka is a woman-owned boutique that carries unique, handcrafted jewelry made by some of the country’s most talented and exclusive artisans. This carefully curated collection draws clients from across the US and from around the world; our flagship brick and mortar in Camp Hill serves as a “hub” for Meeka’s online store as well as our second boutique in Newport, RI.

Job Overview: At our core, we’re a small team based in a beautiful space selling beautiful things to delightful people. Perfectly situated in the heart of Camp Hill between Cornerstone Coffeehouse and Holmes Cycling, Meeka offers a calm, refined atmosphere to host luxurious jewels and sophisticated clients. This role comprises a blend of customer service, sales, and administrative tasks to keep our shop organized and inviting. There will be opportunities to specialize in additional areas as Meeka grows.

Weekly Schedule
Tuesday – Friday | 10am-5:30pm
Saturday | 9am-4:30pm
PLUS mandatory events:
5-8 evenings per year (trunk shows, holiday events)
One Sunday per year (community event in mid- to late November)

Unique Responsibilities

  • Photography and minor photo editing: Capture each piece for listing in the online store as well as vignettes and editorial images for social media, collateral, and advertising efforts.
  • Develop strategy and execute the content for and publishing of social media images, posts, reels, etc.
  • Build out and calendar newsletter content based on identified and emerging events, campaigns, and seasons; execute in tandem with social media and website messaging.
  • Collaborate closely with Meeka owner / team and independent contractor to execute, maintain, and refine the Meeka website redesign.
  • Refine existing and create new collateral for use in and around both Meeka storefronts. Working with the team, keep essential items (bio cards, contact cards, wishlists) in stock.
  • Identify new opportunities and/or media for elevating the visibility of Meeka; execute with assistance from the Meeka team, contractors, etc.

Shared Responsibilities

  • Carefully, efficiently open the store, set up and put away jewelry, and close the store daily. Pay close attention to safe jewelry handling and store security while laying out the visual “story” of each case.
  • Welcome customers; maintain an interested, knowledgeable presence while introducing them to the Meeka collection.
  • Handle point of sale transactions and gift wrapping; capture customer information and precise, detailed notes for follow up.
  • As needed, help fulfill online orders for pieces residing at Meeka in Camp Hill: Carefully gift wrap, package, secure, and ship, strictly adhering to insurance coverage requirements.
  • Help clean (dust surfaces, polish glass, sweep/mop floors, etc.) as needed to maintain the elegant, welcoming character of the showroom.
  • Assist in providing additional pictures, videos, measurements, descriptions, etc. of pieces for online inquiries.
  • Help coordinate and execute events: Artist Trunk Shows, Meeka Seasonal Events, Downtown Camp Hill Association Quarterly Events
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Great communication skills: the intuition, resourcefulness, and ability to clearly and thoroughly communicate within the Meeka team (split across two locations) as well as in person and in writing with customers.
  • The drive to help build on the success of Meeka in Camp Hill and beyond.
  • Proficiency using the following: Apple products (iPhone, iPad, MacBook), Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets), Photography and photo editing (e.g. Photoshop), Social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook), Email marketing (e.g. Klaviyo)
  • Preferential consideration may be given to candidates with experience with: eCommerce platforms (e.g. Shopify), Videography and video editing

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
