JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for leading and developing Midco’s marketing creative services graphic design team to create and design high quality materials for advertising, sales, websites and internal company communications.
KEY FUNCTIONS:
- Lead creative strategy and be responsible for keeping them on target, in scope, and on schedule.
- Initiate project activity, take ownership, and follow through to completion.
- Initiate the development, design, and production of professional graphic materials while supporting the branding and imaging strategies of the marketing team.
- Manage graphic design related responsibilities for the marketing creative services team, including training, assigning and coaching employees.
- Provide mentoring and creative direction to team and internal/external customers, as well as to other graphic positions in the marketing department.
- Guide and direct staff including hiring, disciplinary action, staff development, goal formulation and performance review.
- Develop and maintain visual and written brand standards and enforce corporate brand compliance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with print vendors.
- Maintain company identity, quality and consistency in all marketing materials.
- Maintain graphics library, digital records and best practices.
- Conceptualize, design, and produce professional marketing materials using a wide variety of media, methods, and techniques.
- Research and incorporate new creative techniques with the team to help in the development of Marketing related items that increase customer awareness and loyalty.
- Attend meetings and review materials from outside vendors to help keep project workflow moving and ensure brand standards are met across all marketing materials.
- Maintain high accuracy in all communications and presentations and proof all materials.
- Follow and serve as a role model in displaying Midco’s Core Values and Leadership Success Drivers.
- Adhere to Midco’s privacy guidelines to ensure each customer’s privacy.
- Maintain regular attendance to be available for your team and as required by your position.
- Be available to provide assistance to team members outside of normal business hours as necessary.

- Effectively communicate with other departments to handle escalating issues in a timely manner.
- Function as an effective team member while supporting the efforts and strategies, initiatives and projects of other departments.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required. Focus in graphic design, fine arts, marketing or related field preferred.
- Minimum of ten years of progressive professional graphic design experience required.
- Mastery-level skills using Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud (Focus on Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver).
- Advanced knowledge or better of print/offline design and production concepts.
- Leadership experience preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL & MENTAL QUALIFICATOINS:
- The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
- Employees may be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings and weekends as business demands.
