Job description

Credit Analysts are a key part of our banking team. You are responsible for evaluating loan applications and client data based on established criteria as a part of the process to decide whether or not to approve a loan. Training will be provided to teach the foundation of how to be a successful Credit Analyst.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform industry research to help assess potential borrowers
  • Underwrite commercial credit requests
  • Document decisions properly and completely with particular diligence given to explanations of overrides or variances, to include a narrative to explain credit decisions
  • Provide a high level of customer service to the originators of loan requests to include the communication of credit decisions and answering questions
  • Ensures that the systems of record are accurate for the loans being administered; ensures that management information is reported timely and accurately
  • Obtains satisfactory loan reviews and ensures that regular audits are performed


Requirements

  • College degree in a related business discipline is preferred
  • At least 1 – 4 years of relevant experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of experience and education/training
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Up to 15% Travel
