Responsibilities
- New Credit Applications: Preparation of new credit applications for the TPD Sales Team. This involves recommending appropriate trading limits and assessing the credit strength and trading requirements of newly signed clients. These are prepared weekly and are presented at either Desk Credit Committee or Senior Credit Committee every Friday for approval.
- Annual Credit Review: The management of annual credit reviews for existing corporate clients. Providing recommendations for limit changes to Front Office (based on an assessment of clients, FX requirements & financial strength), discussing key financial risks with Credit. Credit reviews are prepared on a daily basis & discussed at either Desk Credit or Senior Credit on Fridays.
- Report Monitoring: Ongoing liaison with the Credit Department on FX credit exposures reports are received daily & queries sent to dealers on any issues. Follow-up with dealer and credit on limit breaches.
- Month End & Quarterly Reporting: Preparation of month credit activity and credit exposure report.
- Weekly Discussion with Head of TPD: Run through any credit reviews for the week ahead, discuss any limit changes or margin issues.
- Legal Team Interaction: Work closely with Legal in regards to ensuring that Facility Letters are received back. Legal send a list weekly, which the Credit Analyst circulates to the Dealers & Sales Team, and follows up directly with clients on.
- Various Ad Hoc Duties for the Treasury Credit Team: This may involve industry analysis, preparation of customer reports, screening of new clients, preparation of customer biographies for internal events, sales pipeline analysis, sector analysis, limit utilisation and net exposure reports, regulatory working groups, preparation of sales presentations for new business team etc.
- A Very Interactive Role- Essentially the liaison between the TPD and Credit Teams, requires strong engagement between the Teams and a proactive approach.
