POSITION SUMMARY:
Credit Approvers review various pieces of information and data to consider the degree of risk involved in extending credit to individuals and authorizing credit charges into Customer's New or Existing Accounts. Approvers play a critical role in managing risk by assessing the creditworthiness of potential customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Review new Credit Applications received/completed in person, at store locations, via mail, telemarketing, or E-commerce.
- Evaluate Credit Applications and analyze financial information such as credit history, income, and expenses.
- Review Existing Customer Accounts for authorization of credit transactions and negotiating of terms via telephone with Sales Associates.
- Verify creditworthiness for applicants and existing customers, including information on file, credit reports and other sources of information.
- Approves or Declines Credit Authorization based on internal Credit Risk Policies and guidelines.
- Apply Risk Factors to prevent and minimize high-risk, fraud, and Collection Accounts.
- Any other functions, tasks, or projects assigned by Management.
The position requires working on weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on different promotions and seasonal changes.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
- High School Certificate, or GED or equivalent to a minimum of 1-year experience in this specific area
- 1-year related experience and/or training; orequivalent combination of education and experience
- English and Spanish
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
- Ability to work in a fast -paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.04 - $17.00 per hour
