Job Description

Commercial pressure washing uses a special mixture of water and concentrated solutions that is then expelled under high pressure to clean buildings and sidewalks. The high pressure forces the cleaning solution deep into concrete and brick, without damaging the aesthetics of the building.

Candidates will be working at the public train stations. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian role focused on the station's upkeep. They will have the great physical endurance to cover large spaces. A keen eye for detail and diligence is imperative for Pressure-Washing & Floor Scrubbing.

PRESSURE WASHING & FLOOR MACHINES

• Transport 275-gallon non-portable water tank via pallet jack, irrigate water into tanks, connect tanks to the water pump & GAS-powered generator to begin
• Operate high-pressure spray to remove grime, dust, soil, and dirt from surfaces and objects such as buildings, and concrete surfaces
• Check and make sure the pressure washing/floor machines, hoses, chemicals, and tools are stocked and in working order
• Understand floorcare/concrete needs, squeegee excess water & spot-check areas to ensure the surface is clean
• Review your task with the Team SPVR once you are complete
• Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out the trash, clearing the job site, and storing all hoses and equipment correctly
• Follow all safety protocols to prevent damage or injury
• Report major damages
• Clear debris with a GAS-powered Leaf Blower by maintaining outer entrances
• Pre-treat surfaces for the Pressure Washing team and assist as needed
• Wipe & Sanitize the escalator, card machine, and all chrome objects
• Apply concentrated cleaning solution and aggressively scrub and dry surfaces without excess water.

Skills

• Proven experience as custodian, janitor, or in a similar role
• Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
• Attention to detail and conscientiousness
• Very good physical condition and strength
• A high school diploma is preferred but not required
• At least one year of industry experience with high-pressure equipment preferred
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift at least 35 pounds (Heavy Equipment)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
