Position:

Discovery Cube of Los Angeles, a science center in Lake View Terrace, CA, is seeking an experienced individual to join our facilities team. Must be hard working with attention to detail and have experience working in a maintenance or janitorial position.

Responsibilities:

· Clean and stock bathrooms

· Maintain cleanliness of building and patio

· Empty trashcans, vacuum carpets, etc.

· Set up and break down for events

· Maintain maintenance shop cleanliness

· Troubleshoot exhibits and upcoming attractions

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· High School diploma, or in progress OR at least 1 year of facilities or maintenance experience

· Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

· Excellent communication skills

· Basic computer knowledge (email)

· Must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time

· Proven self-starter with minimal management

· Able to lift, push, or pull up to 25lbs. for short periods of time

· Focus on safety

· Must be able to safely bend to turn attractions/exhibits on or off

· Must be comfortable with change and a dynamic work environment with both low and peak seasons
