CUSTODIAN - CLEANING PROFESSIONAL

Seeking a highly energetic, motivated custodian, custodial experience preferred, willing to train a motivated individual.

JOB FUNCTIONS

Building custodian.

Clean interior and exterior building surfaces, applying appropriate cleansers

Mixes or blends routine cleaning solutions to proper concentrations as necessary for various tasks.

Cleans lobby, restrooms, corridors and common area rooms

Dust, wipe down and clean all surfaces, walls, sideboards, furniture, door handles, ornaments, fixtures or trimmings with appropriate disinfectants, polishers, and cleansers

Sweep floor and mop surface floors and wet mop with disinfectant

Uses floor scrubber and carpet washing and vacuuming equipment

Process trash removal and corrugated scraps with a compactor

Empty all trash baskets, reline with fresh liner, transports waste to disposal area

Cleaning showers and restrooms, sinks, toilet seats and outside of the toilet area with disinfectant

Clean mirrors, doors, windows and wall ornaments with appropriate cleansers.

Restock all hand soap, toilet and paper towel dispensers in public areas

Clean outside lighting fixtures, surfaces and timber of dust and cobwebs

Clean and wipe down all outside furniture

Set up and take down of tables and chairs in the event center and patio areas

Monitors facility grounds daily for trash; ability to use a backpack blower to clean sidewalks and parking areas and/or willingness to learn

Perform work involving painting projects

REQUIREMENTS:

English communication skills

Smartphone and personal email address

Access to the internet and the ability to check and communicate with your email on a daily basis

Experience using typical digital apps and using email

Reliable transportation

Knowledge of operating cleaning equipment and/or willingness to be trained

Has a working knowledge using cleansers and/or willingness to be trained

1 year of basic, property custodial experience preferred but not required

Ensure follow through on assigned cleaning tasks using in-house assignment system and respond to time-sensitive maintenance needs

Ability to lift over 40 lbs.

Ability to follow instructions and guidelines to perform the functions of the job

Ability to see projects through to completion

Ability to properly assess problems and provide solutions

Good organizational and time management skills

Able to pass a background check and drug screening

Self-motivated and friendly customer service oriented

Reports to a supervisor/manager - Work with minimum supervision

Conduct and perform other duties as assigned.

Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with team members and management team

Focused with a drive to succeed
