What you will do?

As the Custodian you will be responsible for maintaining sanitary conditions of the facility and housing units by performing a variety of tasks. The schedule for this position will vary from week to week depending upon work load and priorities. Specific responsibilities include:

• Clean and maintain appliances, light fixtures, restrooms, housing units and general facility areas.
• Availability to maintain a flexible work schedule.
• Assist in maintaining the exterior grounds, minor repairs and painting as needed.
• Provide external and internal support on an ongoing basis.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary workplace at all times.
• Complete documentary paperwork on a timely basis.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you need:

A high school diploma or GED is required for this position. Previous custodial or janitorial experience is not required but, preferred. Additional requirements include:

• Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Working knowledge of basic solvents and cleaners.
• Ability to work in a team environment under minimal supervision.
• Ability to complete tasks on a timely basis.
• Ability to work 40 plus hours per week
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to prioritize projects and remain self-motivated
