The Facilities Custodian contributes to the safe and productive working conditions at Silfab Solar by maintaining a clean, orderly, and well-maintained workplace.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Is responsible for the cleanliness, sanitation, & stocking of supplies in all common areas.
• Disposal of trash and recyclables from all common areas.
• Outside grounds maintenance including trash pickup, cleaning & sweeping of walkways & shipping areas.
• Ensure that parking lot is free of litter and debris.
• Sweeping & mopping of warehouses.
• Other duties as assigned by management which may include minor plumbing, carpentry, electrical & other building maintenance projects.

Core Competencies:

• Ability to follow directions closely.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• High level of attention to detail to ensure that sanitation & quality standards are being met.
• Working knowledge cleaning products used for cleaning & sanitation.
• Knowledge & use of small hand power tools such as drills, roto hammers, snow blower, pressure washer.
• Minor plumbing & carpentry skills.
• Ability to paint & repair walls.
• Can follow directions & work independently.
