We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to work at our corporate office in Schaumburg. This position will work from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The person in this role will manage and process orders received by email (mostly) and telephone from our external customers and INX employees. As a CSR you will be responsible to:
- Answer incoming calls to 800 number (15 to 20 a day)
- Take and process orders, via phone, fax and email/ enter into SAP system (20+ daily)
- Track shipments/ help solve delays with carriers
- Assist sales reps in gathering data for new accounts & leads
- Assist customers to find technical answers
- Build customer relationships and product knowledge
- Assist with returns and replacement orders/ work with outside vendors for drop shipments
To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:
- Have a High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
- Effectively communicate with peers and customers
- Demonstrate good computer skills (intermediate) in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Have excellent verbal, written, reading comprehension, and demonstrate a professional phone manner
- Show good math skills including fractions, decimals, percentages, and discounts
- Be an excellent problems solver, involving several variables in standard situations
- Have a minimum of 5 years of customer service experience.
- Work independently, as well as in a team in multi-tasks simultaneously.
- Travel to customers for coverage as needed; up to 50% travel overnight for extended periods
In addition to these qualifications, we will consider as a plus if you have:
- Associate degree from 2-year college or trade school
- SAP experience and proficient with Microsoft Suite programs.
